I enjoy windsurfing because of the fact that you can ride the wave as well as executing acrobatic manoeuvres. My biggest windsurfing achievement is winning 2 world wave sailing titles and coming back to win the Maui events after major injury.
Favourite windsurfing spot would have to be “Backyards” which is just upwind from Sunset Beach in Hawaii. The wind is a light cross off shore and the waves are super smooth and break on a very shallow reef. I also love to be in Hawaii and there are no crowds at this place.
For such spots as Punta Preta i need to be well prepared. I train with the MPG Team which is based on Maui and consists of 5 days a week in the gym as well as cycling for endurance. MPG has all the latest technical equipment to ensure maximum performance and in my eyes is a great asset to my success.
