My father used to take me on the back of a wind glider when I was very young, and I really enjoy it so, when I turned 12 I got my windsurfing gear and started going windsurfing with my best friend that was doing tennis classes with me. His father was a very good wave sailor and we actually started with his gear. At the same time my neighbour started windsurfing (he is a surf shaper, so he even made my first custom board) and we really got addicted, especially given that we were living in front of a lake and just 5 minutes to the ocean, so the access to the water was easy!
In windsurfing I love the most freedom you have on the wave; it is a mix of the best things of the most radical sports. I mean you can choose which part or session of the wave you would like to ride, or the speed, or you can get airs going outside. Windsurfing has that feeling that when you get a very good day you feel like nothing can ever make you upset, everything feels perfect!!!
My favorite discipline is wave, it’s very challenging because there is no wave that is the same as another, maybe similar but not same! So every day your windsurfing session is different… so you feel like you always want more.
