Kevin Pritchard has 7 world titles under his belt and is still right in the hunt for a couple more. Kevin surpassed the critics with his drive and focus to finally capture the elusive crown in 2000. This is a huge feat as the sport of windsurfing has always been dominated. Bjorn Dunkerbeck has won the title for 12 consecutive years, and before that it was Robby Naish for 10, years. Pritchard now joins as the third Champion the sport has ever had as well as the first, second and third champion of the new century.
Young and very talented, Kevin’s quiet personality hides an intense ambition to win. The ladies pick, he has a style all of his own, but keeps a strong focus on the job at hand. Born and raised in Southern California, Pritchard graduated from school, packed up and moved to Maui. He has been featured in mainstream magazines in the likes of People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Women’s Own, National Enquirer, and Outside Magazine. Kevin has also been featured on Fox for 12 weeks that had approximately 8 million viewers per episode. Kevin’s windsurfing publicity is at an all time high, generating around 300 pages annually of press throughout sports publications, with coverage throughout the world.
Over the last years, Pritchard has been committed to windsurfing. He has been around the world for competitions and promotions. Germany, Japan, Ireland, France, Brazil, Spain and the U.S. are the main countries that Pritchard excels in. His plans for the next year are to travel the world and regain the World Title for many years to come.
