My parents were really dedicated windsurfers and it was only natural that my brother Luke and I would get into the sport. I think when people realize how fast you can go across the water without an engine they totally get hooked and after the feel the sensation of jumping and waveriding its all over for them they will be addicted. Every once in a while you’ll surprise yourself with something you thought you could never do. From the perspective of people who don’t windsurf it’s not an accomplishment but for those who do it’s a great accomplishment. These are my favorite moments being involved in this great act of nature and performing at a high level for you at that moment nothing else matters.

I get to do what I love and get paid for it and live in Hawaii at the same time. I’m so thankful that my parents supported me and allowed me to follow my dreams. For me the top of the summit is wavesailing. It’s the most fun and never gets old to me because every wave is different and the challenges are so great that your never finish learning and progressing. My favorite is putting together moves on one wave with smooth transitions that every wave you catch you did the right thing at the right part of the wave. This is by far the hardest thing to do in windsurfing it demands quick thinking and fast reactions and experience.
